Patricia Mitchell’s daughter Kathryn (Katie) Mitchell was diagnosed with Nemaline Myopathy in 2008, at the age of 2. Patricia has her Master’s degree in business from Michigan State University. She currently works for the global health care company Baxter International, as a consultant to sales teams in the areas of finance, sales force effectiveness and commission plan design.
Prior to working for Baxter, Patricia spent 9 years working in consulting. Prior to that, while earning her degrees, she played and coached Division 1 Collegiate volleyball. Patty believes her background in athletics/training, problem solving and now health care have ideally prepared her for work on the board of A Foundation Building Strength. In her spare time Patty teaches religious education to children through St. Joseph’s parish in Libertyville, Illinois, where she currently lives with her family.
