Apply to be one of five individuals running the iconic TCS NYC Marathon on behalf of Team AFBS! Fill out a short online application here.
All applications will be reviewed by members of the AFBS team who will collectively determine the charity spot recipients.
Each individual selected to participate on Team AFBS will raise a minimum of $3,000 in support of AFBS and Nemaline Myopathy research. All participants will receive team apparel and will be invited to attend a pre-race event in New York City on November 2, 2024.
Why Run for AFBS?
Our mission is to find treatments for Nemaline Myopathy (NM). NM is a group of neuromuscular disorders that cause muscle weakness of varying severity. Many people with NM can’t breathe, swallow, speak, or walk on their own. It is considered one of the most severe congenital muscle conditions. AFBS is working diligently to fund researchers around the world, making great strides toward treatments.
